Ann-Maree Mason, Event Manager of Hair Expo Australia, has announced that she will be stepping down from the
post in early 2008 to pursue a new opportunity within the salon industry.

However, she leaves behind an event

that is well on track to being the biggest and best yet, with this year’s participation up 16% on 2007’s show.

Hair Expo Australia 2008 will be passed into the capable hands of Brian Thomas, Reed Exhibitions Australia
Commercial Director who will act as the event’s interim manager. Brian has over 14 years experience in the
exhibitions and events industry and has handled some of the country’s biggest events, including the General
Practitioner Conference and Exhibition – the largest exhibition for GPs in Australia incorporating an exhibition,
education and awards program.

An announcement will be made to the industry shortly on Ann-Maree’s successor. In the meantime, it’s business
as usual with the Hair Expo team of Matt Davies, Account Manager; Alana Ross, Senior Coordinator and Libby
Brooks Molloy, Awards Coordinator

Hair Expo Australia 2008 will continue to follow Ann-Maree’s original vision of a new, dynamic and exciting event.

Key International and Australian talent have been locked into the Hair Expo 2008 education and event program
and there are also many exciting new initiatives to be unveiled. A full list of key talent and events is due to be
published on 1st February, in the next issue of Culture Magazine and on the Hair Expo website
(www.hairexpoaustralia.com) meanwhile entries and nominations for the 23rd Annual Hairdressing Awards are
well underway.

Ann-Maree’s last day at Hair Expo is Wednesday, 6th February.

Dear Carl

As a fellow industry professional and valued member of the Hair Expo community, I want to inform you of some upcoming changes that will take place with Hair Expo Australia 2008.

I will be stepping down from my position as Event Director in early February to pursue a new opportunity within the salon industry. My position will be filled in the interim by Brian Thomas – a very capable Commercial Director with over 14 years experience in the exhibition and events industry.

I would like to thank you for your continued support of both Hair Expo and me over the past 14 months, particularly as we have embarked on a new direction for the brand. Hair Expo has begun a journey of becoming a refreshed, renewed and reinvigorated brand to meet the ‘wants and desires’ of the industry today and I want to thank you for being an integral part of this new and exciting development and for placing your trust in the vision.
This new direction for Hair Expo Australia 2008 is now set and the work will be continued by our capable team to deliver the best event yet in June 2008!
