HBIA Australian Hairdressing Championships 2007


The HBIA Australian Hairdressing Championships are the largest and most prestigious championships of its kind in Australia, taking place on Sunday, 8th July 2007 at the Melbourne Convention Centre. This years' event is set to be the best championships yet. The 2007 event is expected to feature more than 1,000 competitors in over 20 different competitions including blow wave, cutting and colouring, as well as popular creative themes. A key feature of the event are the parades which include some of the more visual competitions staged throughout the championships. The parades showcase an amazing 500 plus models ranging from avant-garde colour to the elegant evening styles and the ever so cute kids categories, a real hit with the spectators.

HBIA Salon Award - Sponsored By: Intermedia
This award is given to the salon owner whose competitors amass the highest number of points as first, second or third place getters. The competitors must work for the salon under which name they have entered, for the predominant amount of their working time. A registered salon owner must enter under his or her salon names.
HBIA College Award - Sponsored By: Biba
This award is for the college whose students amass the most points as place getters.
HBIA Junior Champion - Sponsored By: Biba
The champion will be the competitor who amassed the most points including one place getter in competitions 2, 5, 11, 12.
HBIA Intermediate Champion - Sponsored By: Biba
The champion will be the competitor who amassed the most points including one place getter in competitions 6, 7, 11, 14.

The champion will be the senior competitor who amasses the most points and a place getter in competitions 9, 10, 13, 16.
