Excellent Edges Scissor Kit - an ongoing review. Part 1

Did somebody say scissors? Yup - I guess that was me.
This will be the first installment in an ongoing review of the
Excellent Edges
'Fish Kit' scissors. So what is my first impression as I
unwrap this box of goodies...
Just so yo be really clear in what I'll try to do here... my plan is to give a week by week run down on my new Excellent Edges scissor kit. So as I learn & discover these wondrous shears you can follow along too. If you like what I find - great. If not - great. Either way you can participate too in this forum thread. So without further ado, lets open a box of good stuff.
Well first impressions are funny things. My first impression is - LOVE!
Yes, that just about describes it. Love. It was the full 'take my breath away', beating heart, dry throat, scared but excited, butterflies in your tummy... well - you know what I'm saying ;-)
So what have we got here?
- Barracuda

- Crocodile (sorry too new to link to & no image available)
- Shark

- Marlin

- Glider

- * also a pair of 7inch full serrations. And a pair of 6 inch partial serrations.
Am I intimidated - yes!
But am I excited - yes!
So keeping in mind all of the above emotions my next impression is a simpler one. These scissors are just beautiful.
You can sense the workmanship & quality immediately.
One glaring omission though is an instruction manual or DVD.
Seriously, I've been cutting for 20 years now and I'm not afraid to say that I feel lost. I have never seen anything like this before.
Sort of makes me feel excited to be confronted by this new challenge though.
Ok enough waffling. Next time I sit down here to write I'd have had 1 weeks worth of cutting with these new Wunder-tools.
How will it go? Who knows.
So until I know.... happy cutting folks. (ps, wish me luck :-)
